Get Glossier

If you are not yet a reader of IntotheGloss I suggest that you become one. Although the site's content has expanded over the years, at the heart is the creator Emily Weiss and how she set out to photograph and interview women about how beauty is a part of their life. For me, the site is such a resource for learning about a wide variety of products, application (for real women in real life!), and routines.

Recently, they launched Glossier and I got my hands on the skin tint (in light), the multipurpose balm called balm dotcom, and the priming moisturizer. I love the simple yet fun (it comes with stickers so you can decorate) packaging and the price points aren't over the top either. More than anything though, I fully believe in the message of this brand. They put skin first and makeup second.
While makeup is wonderful and I wouldn't want to be without it, I think that nothing can stand in place of healthy skin and  taking care of the 'canvas' you have to work with.

So far I've only tried the balm and it reminds me of Luca's Paw Paw ointment. It will be great to just throw in my purse for when I need to escape from chapped and dried out skin. I'm sure it'll get a lot of use during the long Minnesota winter.

*I'm going to try the two other products in the morning! Can't wait!

** EDIT
I like the moisturizer very much because it's light and gives your skin a dewy and healthy appearance. The skin tint is also very nice. This is by far the lightest and sheerest face product I have but it does exactly what it claims to do. It evens out your skin but doesn't really cover anything, not even freckles. My skin looks like a better version of itself with it on, and it's easy enough to do some extra concealing under the eyes and on some beautiful hormonal forehead breakouts (TMI?).
