Old Empties

From a previous blog I had, there were a few 'Empties' posts that I feel I should post here too. I already feel like I'm neglecting this blog and getting behind because of starting student teaching this week... I've definitely gone from having a good amount of free time to having not a lot of free time very quickly. But I'm trying to keep a balance between things I like doing and things that have to do with school/work so I hope to continue with this blog as best that I can. Thank you for your patience and taking the time to read my posts.

 1. So Natural by Yoshinobu Lab Serum
Since I finished this I did repurchase but I haven't opened it yet. All that I said about it last time was that I liked how easily it was absorbed into the skin and gave my skin a very fresh feeling. I think that this is a really great serum for the spring and summer months especially.
2. The Body Shop Strawberry Body Wash
I like this smell of this and it doesn't leave your skin feeling dry. I've repurchased these body washes a number of times in the bigger bottles. In general I like most of the scents from The Body Shop so I just recommend finding what scent you like within their range. Right now I'm using the olive oil one.
3. Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream
Not bad... I used this as my night cream. The labeling rubbed off the outside though, which was weird. I don't really like the smell of this either, but it was moisturizing and had a nice thick texture. I don't think I will repurchase this right away...  Currently, I would not even consider to repurchase this again because I think there are way better options out there (i.e the Lancôme Énergie de Vie Dullness Relief & Energy Recharge Daily Cream).

 4. The Body Shop Vitamin E Body Lotion
I sometimes have a hard time using up lotion because I'm so lazy about applying it, and I'm so picky about lotion textures and how moisturizing they are... But I used up this vitamin E lotion from The Body Shop. It has a fresh (slightly baby-ish) scent and is light. I might consider purchasing it again if The Body Shop had a sale on it. (I think I got this one 50% off...) It's a good standard lotion, maybe not the best for really dry skin but I liked it. My thoughts haven't changed about this lotion but lately I've been using Vaseline body lotions. Vaseline lotion is a much better deal and I like the convenience of a pump...hopefully I'll remember to post more about my favorite body lotions in the future sometime.

5. REN Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask
Enough said. Sadly I have not repurchased this because I'm always wanting to try out new things but I remember really liking this product. Even though it has acids in it (four kinds: lactic, glycolic, tartaric, and citric) it do not make my skin freak out with redness or peeling.

6. Peter Thomas Roth AHA/BHA Acne Clearing Gel
I remember it taking a while for me to use this up and it was nice that it had 2% salicylic acid and AHA/BHA, but it definitely left my skin feeling tight. I wouldn't repurchase this as my number one choice to treat a breakouts because it wasn't as effective as I would've hoped for the price. I think the product would work better to keep your skin clear instead of really targeting bad breakouts.

7. Clean&Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser
I went to a dermatologist that recommended this. Usually I can't use 10% benzoyl peroxide products because it's too drying and harsh, but she said that a cleanser could work for me because you wash it off. I think this helped clear up my stubborn breakouts the most. What was just written is from almost a year ago and it is still true. I've repurchased this cleanser again and again. I don't use it everyday but I keep it on hand for times of month when my skin needs it, or to just prevent breakouts from happening in the first place by using it once a week or so.
